I am a gardener.
When I moved to the Willamette Valley, I would not have described myself as a gardener. The house I moved into had LOTS of flowerbeds, all of them overgrown with weeds. “Not My Garden,” I would mutter, as I worked on one bed after another. I worked hard, enlisted lots of help, and seven years later, flowers & foods blossomed.
Inner gardening, as well as outer, takes a lot of work. I have tended my inner garden over the years with good help from companions and guides and with the Sacred. And I have come to welcome others, to be their companion as they seek a clear path, weeds removed, beauty to behold.
I have earned a M.Div. and have had experience in parish ministry as well as directing Recovering Women Ministries, a project that provided individual counseling, alternative worship and spirituality groups for women recovering from chemical dependency, co-dependency, sexual &/or domestic violence, and abusive religious systems. I am a certified Spiritual Guide. I have experience and training in individual and group spiritual guidance.
I use she/her pronouns.
